The Real World

We tend to behave like children for our entire lives until we hit adulthood and have to actually step. Sadly, some people see this as permission to be idiots. They go out and party the entirety of high school (some starting even before that point) and destroy their brain cells with pot and beer.

Unfortunately for them they have not been attentive in their biology classes enough to understand that this behavior effects their brains on extraordinary levels. Our brains are not fully developed until the age of twenty five. Isn’t that insane? Which means that all that booze is just making that development get shunted. Ouch. Basically what I am trying to say is you’re stupid. Sorry not sorry. Make better decisions.

With that being said, since their brains are pea sized they are incapable of making good judgment decisions, and yet demand that we treat them as thought they are equals. Last I checked, my brain was far more developed than yours and until you can prove to me that you have actually developed a higher level of understanding then I will treat you in the way you act; like a child.

The worst part about all of this is that these tiny brained children think that they own the world. That they’ll get to college, not have to study or work, and will get some million dollar salary job immediately after graduation. News flash: that’s not how it works.

AND they think they don’t have to put in an effort when they do get a job because they know how to take five thousand selfies a day. That doesn’t give you the right to be a jerk to anyone or to act as though you know everything.

I get it though, I do. You think you’re invincible and that, for some unknown reason, you think the world owes you something.

Here is a famous quote for you from a famous man. If you don’t know who Mark Twain is then you have some catching up to do.

As with the world, the rest of society does not owe you any favors. You have done nothing in your life except simply exist. Congratulations.

Here is another tidbit for you. Every person makes eleven judgments of you within seven seconds….

Seven seconds.

So when you go for an interview at a place you applied for remember that. Your tits hanging out isn’t going to get you the job. Not sorry.

Remember this:

Adults, society, and the world owe you NOTHING.

You are the one who needs to research, study, work hard, and give to the world. Show the world what you are capable of. Prove to everyone that you mean business. Because otherwise everyone is going to look at you like you are a child for the rest of your life.

Sure, I play video games all weekend and act like a child sometimes, but I have been accomplished. My resume is fairly impressive for someone my age. I have friends that have never had a full time job in their life. That’s just sad.

Educate yourself. And when you find yourself in some stupid debate make sure you know what you’re talking about. Emotions have no place in adulthood, unless you’re pregnant.

Be who you want others to see you as. Wanna be treated as an adult? Prove to me that you are one.

  1. amazing how many people, who are supposed to be adults, don’t get it! They never think about the big picture…never think beyond what today…this moment can give them. They have no concept that your actions control the outcome! I am so glad you have a sensible brain…and while I think sometimes you over analyze things it’s because you are concerned about what is going to be the long term result!
